1) Legal Secretary (Corporate)

Job Description

Oon & Bazul is looking to hire a Legal Secretary to support our Partner in our Corporate teams. The general scope of work includes but is not limited to the following: –

  • Compile and screen legal queries by redirecting or taking forward such queries as appropriate
  • Assist with drafting, reviewing, and assembling of documents
  • Draft correspondence with clients and arranging meetings
  • Manage file opening and closing procedures, including conflict checks
  • Manage matter deadlines, monitor the progress of matters, and generate matter status reports
  • File documents via e-Litigation (for Litigation team)
  • Assist with billing
  • Minute meetings as and when required
  • Manage time entries into the firm’s practice management system
  • Any other ad-hoc duties as and when required

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of working experience as a Legal Secretary / Paralegal, preferably in the Corporate or Litigation & Dispute Resolution practice
  • A diploma in Law & Management or a degree in Law from a recognized institution
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Meticulous and well organized
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced work environment
  • Excellent time management
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook
  • Team player

2) Administrative Assistant

Job Description

Oon & Bazul, a leading law firm in Singapore is looking to hire an Administrative Assistant.

The general scope of work includes but is not limited to the following: –

  • Data entry of Lawyers’ contacts, deadlines and calendar appointments.
  • Assist with planning and preparing the Lawyers’ travel itinerary including liaising with Heads of Departments.
  • Organise and arrange IT requirements for zoom court hearings, external meetings, team meetings etc.
  • Submitting claims and liaising with HR, Finance and IT on the Lawyers’ claims and administrative matters.
  • Liaising with the secretaries and lawyers of the firm to collate and organise bundles and briefs Partners before client meetings or discussions.
  • Other Ad-hoc tasks.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience in a law firm, or preferably in a Professional Services industry
  • No experience are welcome to apply
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Resourceful and organised
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and deliver quality work under pressure and within deadlines
