Head of International Arbitration Suresh Divyanathan won a Court of Appeal case against a Senior Counsel regarding a shareholders’ dispute

Oon & Bazul’s Head of International Arbitration, Suresh Divyanathan, acted for the majority shareholder in a shareholders’ dispute where the minority shareholder valued his shares in the company at up to S$9 million.

The Singapore High Court agreed with the majority shareholder that the shares were worth just over S$15,200. This case was previously reported in The Straits Times on 15 February 2018.

The minority shareholder filed an appeal and instructed a prominent Senior Counsel to represent him. Suresh successfully argued before the Singapore Court of Appeal for the appeal to be dismissed.
