Oon & Bazul bolsters its Litigation & Dispute Resolution Practice with appointment of new Partner
Leading commercial law firm Oon & Bazul announced the appointment of Mr Ray Shankar as Partner. He joins the firm’s Litigation & Dispute Resolution Practice.
Ray has a broad-based practice in litigation and dispute resolution spanning disputes in subject matters ranging from corporate shareholders’ disputes, insurance, banking, breaches of fiduciary duties of agents and directors and building and construction disputes arising from contracts under SIAC or FIDIC forms or adjudications pursuant to the Building and Construction Industry Security of Payment Act.
He has advised clients across the region from various industries including insurance, gaming companies (online and landed), building and construction and logistics / oil & gas in both contentious and non-contentious matters. Having spent a number of years advising clients in Malaysia and Indonesia, he possesses an in-depth understanding of the commercial, political and cultural landscapes in those regions, which allow him to provide practical and effective solutions to complex legal problems.
In addition to litigation and dispute resolution, he also specialises in advising ultra-high net worth individuals and families on the establishment of family offices, which includes advising on legacy and estate planning, wills, trusts, family charters / constitutions, efficient structures for the holding of personal or family assets and succession planning.
