Oon & Bazul is proud to announce that the following Practices and Partners are recognised and mentioned in the 2020 edition of Benchmark Litigation Asia Pacific.

Benchmark’s commentary on the firm
Oon & Bazul is best known for its international arbitration, insolvency and commercial disputes practices. On top of its traditional strength in shipping, the firm has been frequently engaged in various sectors such as energy, oil and gas, manufacturing and fintech.

Bazul Ashhab heads the firm while partner Meiyen Tan drives the insolvency practice. Arbitration-focused Suresh Divyanathan and shipping expert, as well as head of litigation, Kelly Yap are other key contacts in the firm.

Oon & Bazul is firmly in growth mode with plans to grow organically and through further lateral hires in the foreseeable future. While the dominant legal market trend caters to the establishment of boutiques in order to remain free of conflicts, Oon & Bazul is going the other way by moving towards full service. The firm’s traditional strength is in shipping but it is now looking to grow out from its core areas. In 2011, the firm had 16 fee earners that has since grown to over 40.
